John is a top tier transformational leader with the credentials and abilities to lead global functions. John serves as the top security leader for a Fortune 200 company in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. He was appointed to Director of Global Security in January of 2022, having served as Deputy Director since March of 2015. Before transitioning to the private sector, John spent 34 years in local and federal law enforcement, culminating his federal career a U.S. Secret Service Special Agent in Charge and local career as a major county Chief Deputy Sheriff. He specializes in fraud prevention and other internal and external, complex investigations, workplace violence-deterrence and training, threat response and has experience in corporate security program designs, to include strategic startup operations. Additionally, John offers executive protection and event security expertise to include training and EP program development. Drawing from combined public and private sector security knowledge and experience, he can shape an across-the-board security program to efficiently detect, deter, defend, and respond to domestic as well as international threats and operational challenges. John presently serves on the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Foundation and the Ramsey County Sheriffs Foundation. John is a Senior Advisor of Executive Security for CSA.
